Laura is a Principal in LCP’s Insurance Consulting practice. She enjoys working with her clients and advising on a range of actuarial matters. Having worked in consultancy and directly for (re)insurers previously, she has broad experience covering topics such as reserving, pricing, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, portfolio analysis and management reporting. She has a particular interest in increasing the value that actuaries add to the business, including through portfolio analytics and improvements to the reserving process.
Laura loves the variety in her work and considers herself incredibly lucky to have worked with so many great people over the years.
She is currently on the IFoA GI Research and Thought Leadership Committee, the Towards the Optimal Reserving Process (“TORP”) Working Party and the London Market Actuaries’ Group (“LMAG”) Committee. She is also passionate about diversity and inclusion and has volunteered with a number of charities focusing on social mobility.
Outside of work Laura is kept on her toes by her very energetic and bossy (not sure where she gets that from!) 4-year-old daughter.
