Emma was appointed Chief Actuary & Head of Reserving for Lloyd’s of London at the start of 2020, making her Lloyd’s first female chief actuary and the youngest member of Lloyd’s senior leadership team.
Since Emma’s appointment she has focussed on strengthening Lloyd’s capabilities to benefit the wider business, and she has been passionate about enhancing the collaborative relationship between Lloyd’s and the market. Some of Emma’s highlights from this year include successfully supporting Lloyd’s Part VII Transfer and speaking at a variety of forums, including presenting at three GIRO sessions.
After graduating with a First Class MORSE degree from Warwick University, Emma began her career in Actuarial Consultancy at EMB (now WTW). She joined Lloyd’s five years ago and has held a number of roles during that time.
Emma is a dedicated volunteer for the IFoA, having contributed to three different IFoA Working Parties, and currently being the UK representative on the Actuarial Association of Europe’s Professionalism Committee and the International Actuarial Association’s Insurance Regulation Committee.
Outside of the office Emma loves playing hockey and uses it to blow off some steam after a hard day’s work.
