Emma Hutchinson

Started her actuarial journey in University College Dublin, where she graduated with a 1st Class Honours in Actuarial and Financial Studies in 2011. She began her professional career as a consultant in the Life Insurance team of Willis Towers Watson in Dublin before qualifying as a Fellow of the IFoA. Shortly after, she moved to London to take on a new role with Milliman. Emma’s consulting career has seen her working on multiple M&A deals, insurance business transfer schemes and Solvency II projects for UK and European life insurance and reinsurance companies, asset managers, pension providers and the UK regulators. She has presented at numerous industry events, included those hosted by the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and the IFoA, and has authored papers on a wide variety of life insurance topics. In 2017, she was elected by the Staple Inn Actuarial Society Committee as Programme Convenor to organise and coordinate monthly talks on topical matters across all actuarial disciplines. Emma has recently taken up a new role as Head of Actuarial Reporting for Canada Life Reinsurance in Dublin and is thoroughly enjoying this latest challenge.
